Questions about choosing
your Noisewood
What is the difference between Core, Studio, Tour and Noble?
All Noisewood pedalboards start from the same double-deck platform. The difference is in the level of finish, protection and overall refinement.
- Core: the essential Noisewood board in Natural Birch or Stealth Black, without lid.
- Studio: a no-lid board with stained wood finish and refined finish options.
- Tour: a transport-ready board with protective lid, in Natural Birch or Stealth Black, with lid design options.
- Noble: the most refined line, with protective lid, stained wood finish and premium finish options.
Should I choose a board with or without lid?
Choose a board without lid if your pedalboard mainly stays at home, in the studio or in a fixed setup. Choose a board with lid if you often move your rig between home, rehearsal, stage or recording sessions.
- Without lid: choose Core or Studio.
- With lid: choose Tour or Noble.
Which size should I choose?
You do not need to choose the technical dimensions yourself. Select the gear you use and the way your rig is built, and the configuration will guide you towards the right board width and depth.
A compact pedal setup needs less space than a larger rig with multiple pedals, a modeler, multi-FX unit or switcher. Your board size is therefore matched to your actual setup instead of asking you to choose between technical size codes.
Can a Noisewood be built around my exact rig?
Yes. A Noisewood pedalboard can be configured around the type of setup you actually use, from simple pedalboards to modern modeler rigs and switcher-based systems.
- Pedal-only setups: for traditional rigs with pedals on top.
- Modelers and multi-FX: for units such as Quad Cortex, Helix, Kemper, Fractal or Tone Master Pro.
- Switcher rigs: for setups built around a controller or loop switcher, such as Boss ES-5, Boss ES-8, TheGigRig G3, G3 Atom, Morningstar, Fender Switchboard or RJM.
- Expression or volume pedals: can be integrated depending on the selected layout and size.
What does the double-deck concept do?
The double-deck construction creates a cleaner and more practical pedalboard. It gives space to hide your power supply, route cables internally and place always-on pedals underneath the second deck when needed.
This keeps the top of your board cleaner, improves access to power and audio connections and makes the full setup easier to use.
What connection options can I choose?
Every Noisewood has an integrated 230V power inlet as standard. Add a connection package and the patch bay sits in the wooden side panel itself, ready to plug in and play.
- Essential: four TRS connections on the right side. Anything that runs over TRS, in or out: guitar in, amp out, an FX loop, amp switching or an expression pedal.
- TRS: Essential plus one more TRS on the left, for when four is not enough.
- XLR: Essential plus two XLR outputs on the left, for going straight to the PA or an audio interface.
- Custom: USB-C, MIDI or a connection layout built around your rig.
Which lines can be personalised?
All Noisewood lines can be personalised. The available options depend on the line, the selected layout and whether the board has a protective lid.
- Core: can be configured with finish options, patch bay options, LED light, AirTag holder and name engraving.
- Studio: adds stained finish options and can also be configured with patch bay options, LED light, AirTag holder and name engraving.
- Tour: includes a protective lid with Noisewood logo or standard art design, with options such as patch bay packages, LED light, AirTag holder, name engraving and personal artwork upload.
- Noble: combines stained wood finish, protective lid and the most refined finish level, with options such as patch bay packages, LED light, AirTag holder, name engraving and personal artwork upload.
What is the difference between a standard lid design and custom artwork?
On boards with a protective lid, you can choose a standard Noisewood lid design or add your own artwork for a more individual look.
- Standard lid design: Noisewood logo or one of the available predefined designs.
- Custom artwork: upload your own artwork for a more personal lid design.
- Available on: Tour and Noble, because these lines include a protective lid.
Which Noisewood should I choose?
Choose the line that matches how you use your pedalboard and how refined you want the finish and protection to be.
- Choose Core if you want the essential Noisewood concept in its cleanest form, without lid.
- Choose Studio if you want a no-lid board with a more refined stained wood finish.
- Choose Tour if you want a practical pedalboard with protective lid for transport.
- Choose Noble if you want the most premium Noisewood, with lid, stained wood finish and the most refined finish level.
